Vintage Sharp & Dohme Colchicum Seed POISON Amber Medicine Bottle – Empty

An unusual piece of vintage pharmaceutical history from Sharp & Dohme of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This amber glass medicine bottle retains its original paper label for Tincture Colchicum Seed U.S.P., No. 1897, prominently marked POISON.

The wonderfully detailed period label includes the original preparation information, alcohol content, antidote instructions, prescription warning and Sharp & Dohme branding. Its aged amber glass and surviving poison label make it a fascinating display piece for an antique pharmacy, apothecary, medical or oddities collection.
