A fascinating piece of vintage pharmaceutical history from Abbott Laboratories of North Chicago, Illinois. This amber glass medicine bottle retains its original cream, green and black paper label for Untinted Tincture Metaphen (Nitromersol Tincture, Abbott), Metaphen 1:200, List No. 3531.
The bottle features distinctive horizontal ribbing around the shoulder and base, with wonderful aged coloring and original period pharmaceutical graphics. An interesting display piece for a vintage pharmacy, apothecary, medical or historical advertising collection.
